Charles's obituary
Charles was predeceased by his first wife of 27 years, Betty Garman, and by his parents, Ivan Garman and Mildred Garman.
Charles is survived by his loyal wife of 33 years, Donna Garman. He is also survived by his children, Charles I. Garman Jr, Charlene Robbins, Helena Hubble (Steve), Teresa Harris (Doug), Jamie Cicali (Marc), Aimee Clinkscales (Phil), Shawn Nicklin (Debbie) as well as 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Charles was born in Denton MD. He served a brief, but proud, time in the army after which he returned home to Maryland to enjoy a long career in the construction industry. Charles was truly a jack of all trades and his children spent many days with him on weekend job sites. Charles was always looking for a new house or farm to fix up or remodel and his son, Charles Jr, was always by his side helping until the very end.
Upon retirement, Charles and Donna shared an interest in doll making. He spent many days building doll houses and carving dolls with Donna, and attending doll shows where they enjoyed networking with friends.
The family will be planning a memorial service later in 2021.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support over the last year and throughout his final days.
