Bob Payne

We rode bikes together on Nantucket, he on his Beemer 500 and me on my Aeriel 650. I was was faster but his was a lot more reliable! He rode it to California and back that fall. He was a really good guy and friend. Actually drove my mom, sister and brother to NYC to my wedding fall of 66. . Gosh I miss that guy!

1958 working at the Lamp Post and we remained close friends through 1966 when he drove my mom and brother and sister to my wedding in NYC. There after just too infrequently on my occasional summer visits to the island. Charlie was one of my most treasured friends and for sure he had a lot of them. CHARLIE YOU WILL BE MISSED!
