Charlie's obituary
Beloved husband, father, brother and son, Charles “Charlie/Chuck” Edward Foehner III, 73, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away on January 20, 2022 from a courageous battle with leukemia.
Charlie was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on August 26, 1948. He spent his childhood in North Little Rock, Arkansas, and relocated to St. Louis, Missouri after attending law school at the University of Arkansas. During his undergraduate studies, he attended Henderson State University on a football scholarship. Charlie often reminisced about his 1965 North Little Rock High School football team, the Wildcats, who captured the Arkansas State High School Football Championship his senior year. Charlie was a 3-year varsity letterman and remained lifelong friends with his teammates. Chuck practiced law for 35 years as an attorney. He was an avid football fan, and voracious reader. Charles had a good sense of humor, and was always singing silly songs that he made up about his kitty cats. When he lived in St. Louis near his mother, he had coffee with her nearly every morning.
Charles is survived by Eleanor Foehner, his loving wife of 38 years. He is also survived by: Linda Cadow, his former spouse and the mother of his daughters, Elizabeth Boyer (grandson, William), and Lisa Foehner, his sister, Debra (N. Gardener) Jones, niece, Kathleen Swift (Kyle and Violet), nephew, Nathan Jones, and sister-in-law JoAnne (Ira) Weinberg. He is preceded in death by his only son, James Edward Foehner, and his parents, Charles E. Foehner Jr., and Ruth Ellis Foehner. Charlie was cherished by many friends.
According to Charlie’s wishes, there will be no memorial or service.
In remembrance of his life, the family requests that any charitable donations be made in the form of contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or to the Tampa Bay Humane Society, both linked in this page.
