Charles's obituary

MSgt. Charles William Farmer III, known among family and friends as Chuck, passed away on February 20th, 2026. Chuck, a formidable and respected figure, was born on March 25, 1961 to Todd and Beverly Farmer in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Chuck was a headstrong individual who channeled his intense determination towards everything he embarked on. His hardworking disposition and clever sense of humor were among the traits that endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a mentor to those around him, consistently advocating that hard work was the cornerstone to achievement and fulfillment.

He found joy and pride in his greatest achievement - his children. Their upbringing, achievements, and characters are testimonies to his dedication as a father. Together with his beloved spouse, whom he married in 1988, they raised a family rooted in love, discipline, and valor.

The legacy Chuck leaves behind is one of unwavering integrity and courage. He instilled in those around him the belief to always do what is right, regardless of the cost. His indomitable spirit and unwavering morals continue to inspire and guide, echoing his philosophy far beyond his lifetime.

He was incredibly proud of all of his children, Stephanie, Charles, & Alexander. He followed in his father’s footsteps in enlisting in the Army as well as creating his own construction company and was honored when his daughter and two sons, also enlisted in the Army right when they finished their high school careers to follow in his footsteps. His youngest son, Alexander, also carried the family legacy and followed in his footsteps starting his own construction company as well.

He loved to be out on the water fishing and could be found at the cabin whenever he could creating memories with his kids and grandkids. The cabin was his special place.

Chuck will always remain in our hearts, forever cherished, and his impactful life will forever be remembered. May his soul rest in peace and his lessons continue to guide us all.

Chuck was not fond of funerals and very much so did not want one. Instead, we will be having a Celebration of Life party in his honor with grilling (another cherished activity of his) and friends and family. Please join us at our cabin in Webb Lake, WI and help us send him off in style.
