Charles was born on April 17th, 1935 in Hot Springs, AR to Viola and Joe Cosper. He had six siblings: Fred, Edwin, Jo Fern, Velma, Dolph, and Joe Bob. During his youth he moved to Klamath Falls, OR. As a teenager he lived in San Diego and Huntington Beach, CA. He enjoyed playing the clarinet and saxophone and performed in dance bands playing big band …
