It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles "Chuckster" Johnson on December 29, 2023. Born on May 3, 1969, Charles lived a vibrant, energetic life, filled with laughter and love. He was known for his fun-loving spirit, his unique brand of comedy, his creativity, and the spontaneity that shone through in everything he did.

Charles leaves behind his beloved sisters Donna Johnson and Ngina King Hillman, his devoted mother Mary Johnson, his cherished brother Lomond Keith Johnson, his sons Treylon Mykel Johnson and Jakaii Deshae Johnson, and his adored granddaughter Zaylah Faye Johnson. He is preceded in death by his son Derek Johnson, his grandfather Edward Lee "Eddie Lee" Vick, grandmothers Ellen Christine Vick and Frances Lee Hopson, and his uncles Kenneth Ray Hopson and Calvin Darnell Martin.

Charles's personality was truly magnetic; his zest for life was contagious and his laughter was music to everyone's ears. His passion for dancing was both his favorite recreation and preferred form of exercise. More so, his love for animal performances and anything his mother cooked, especially chicken, were well-known traits that added color to his vibrant life.

His mantra in life was to do what you love and be true to yourself. This philosophy not only guided his life but also served as inspiration for all who knew him. His spirit and the life lessons he shared will continue to live on in those whose lives he touched.

Charles's greatest accomplishment was his son, a testament to his dedication as a loving father. He cherished his family above all and dedicated his life to making theirs happier, brighter, and filled with love. His legacy is one filled with laughter, love and a relentless zest for life.

We will forever remember Charles for his fun-loving ways, comedic attitude, and his loving life spirit. The world is a little less colorful without him, but he will live on in our hearts and memories. May he rest in peace and may his spirit continue to dance among the stars.
