Charles “Chuck” David Bush, age 77, went home to his Lord and Savior on February 26th, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. His life was marked by his Christian faith and devotion to his family and friends.

He was born on Scott AFB in Illinois and raised throughout the world as his father was stationed at different military bases as an officer in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Chofu High School in Tokyo, Japan. He attended Auburn University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He was married to the love of his life, Judy, on August 31, 1969 and they lived in Montgomery, AL, Clearwater, FL and Chattanooga, TN before retiring in Birmingham, AL. He was the proud father of a daughter and son and was a special Granddad to his 3 grandchildren. He was an active member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church of Birmingham.

Chuck is proceeded in death by his mother, Martha Golden Bush and his infant brother Roger Bush. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judy Hester Bush; his daughter Andrea Payne (Johnathan); son Robert Bush (Emma); his grandchildren Jackson Payne, Jake Bush, and Hollon Bush; his father Jake Bush (Kathy) and brother Mike Bush (Sylvia).

The family invites you to join them on Friday, March 14th at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church Birmingham, 1114 Oxmoor Road, Homewood, AL 35209. There will be visitation at 12:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life ceremony at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
