It is with great sadness that the Ciongoli family informs you of the passing of Charles Carl Ciongoli III unexpectedly at the age of 35 on August 26th at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach. He was with his wife and parents by his side. Charles was born in Melbourne, Australia on August 23, 1987, where he and his parents lived for two years. Upon their return to Los Angeles, California, Charles spent much of his life and young adulthood there. He graduated from Viewpoint High School and went on to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. In 2016, Charles moved to Florida, where he met his wife, Lexi, and spent several years working as a Platform Engineer for The Constant Company. Charles had a passion for science, the outdoors, and good food. He was always up for an adventure and he’d tell anyone that his greatest accomplishment in life was his family. His love for his children was immeasurable and he was so proud to be a father and a husband. Charles is survived by his wife, Lexi, his children, Lila, Charles IV, and Olivia, his parents, Chuck and Diane, his sisters, Candace and Allison, and many other relatives. Though his time on Earth was much too brief, he left a remarkable impression on all the lives he touched. He will be missed dearly.

During his Upper School years at Viewpoint, Charles was a member of the Baseball and Cross Country teams and, the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society and achieved the Dr. Levy Latin Scholar Award in his senior year. Both of Charles’ sisters, Candace Ciongoli ’09 and Allison Ciongoli ’13, also attended Viewpoint.
