I worked at Columbia Machine over 20 years. During my years there I would visit Buzz frequently in his work area. Buzz was a genuis as I remembered him. But mostly I remember him as a kind man and a good man. When the factory closed, I do not know where Charles went, but I think he continued to work for Columbia. If he still remained in Mattoon area as per the photos and the beard, I may not have recognized him in later years even if I saw him.  He changed as we all did in our older years.

Favorite memory is running to Grandpa so I could get to his candy dish. Grandma and my mom Pennie saying only one piece. However grandpa would smirk and wink at me and give me a piece for each pocket, a piece for each hand and a piece for my mouth. 💖
