Charles David Bethel passed away on October 2, 2025. Born on November 17, 1957 retired from the Louisville Fire Department and spent many years as a doting stay at home Dad!

David was known for his sarcastic humor and quick wit. He was a man who found joy in life's simple pleasures, and his love for photography captured many of these memorable moments. David's spirit of adventure was evident in his love for camping at Land Between the Lakes, and he cherished every moment spent in the sun.

His greatest accomplishments were not in accolades or trophies, but in the love of his family. David was a devoted father and a loving grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Molly Armstrong, his grandson, Baxter Armstrong, and his son-in-law, Anthony Armstrong.

David also leaves behind his brother, Robert Bethel. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Nancy Bethel. His absence will be deeply felt by the few who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

He has donated his body to UL Hospital for research. Upon completion of research, he will be cremated. It was his wish to do so with no services at any point.
