He also leaves behind very deeply loved 2 closest friends his sister in-law Clara Conklin of Liberty, NY and Michael Conklin of Walden, NY.

My Dad was the strongest man I know. A loner , a wanderer and a simple man who enjoyed the little things in life. Always there to lend a hand. He enjoyed fishing and just spending time with family and a few friends having BBQ.s and country music. He loved watching his old westerns on tv , building and making things out of scrap usually his weird coffee can lamps, tables and birdhouses , and tinkering with his vehicles. Always keeping his mind busy whether it be collecting his cans and bottles or just long walks in the park never wasting a nickel dime or penny. He looked forward to his early morning outings cashing in his bottles and cans to play his scratch offs as he would say , “ Early birds get the worms!”. Known for his jokes ,  quirky sense of humor and crazy old stories he loved to make people laugh and smile. If he was hurting you would never know it. He’s a, “ Jack of all trades and master of none” he’d tell you. A recovering Alcoholic of 41 years and very proud of that as we all are. We love you Pop and gonna miss you dearly. You lived a long crazy 84 years but you lived it as good as you wanted it. Thank you for all the years I needed you more than you needed me and being the best father you knew how to be. Welcome HOME to Mama!
