Latties Brook, Nova Scotia
It is with sadness that the family of Charles Benjamin John “Chuck” Laffin of Latties Brook, Nova Scotia, announce his passing on March 7, 2026, at the age of 68.
Charles was a man who enjoyed the simple but meaningful things in life—good company, conversation, and being surrounded by his family. He spent many years working at Scotia Plastics until his retirement. Through the years he built many friendships and was known for appreciating time spent with others. In his youth, he loved music and dancing and having fun with friends and family.
Above all else, Charles loved his family. He took great joy in gathering with those he cared about and was happiest when his home was filled with people. He also had a special affection for his dogs, who were faithful companions and brought him much comfort.
Charles will be lovingly remembered by his children Amy Laffin; Tracey (James) Coolen; David (Megan) Snair; Sherri-Ann Snair; and Nicholas Snair. He was a proud grandfather to Jordan Laffin, Cody Morash, Hannah Morash, James Coolen, Xander Laffin, Sadie Snair, and Charlie Snair, as well as great-granddaughter Layla Rose Abbott, each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He is also survived by his siblings Jim Tracy, Dan Tracy, April Tingley, Fred Tracy, Linda Brigley, Charlene Coolen, Susan MacLean, Terry Laffin, and Joey Laffin, along with many extended family members and friends.
Chuck was predeceased by his parents Charles Laffin and Gloria (Wheeler) Laffin.
He will be remembered for his love of family, his enjoyment of companionship, and the many moments shared with those who knew him.
There will be a celebration of life at the Hubbard’s Area Lions Club, 21 Lions Club Road, Fox Point, NS, on Saturday March 14th from 1-4 pm. A time of remembrance will be held at 2:00 pm.
