Charles's obituary
Charles Becker, Jr, 83, of Vero Beach, FL, passed away suddenly on August 24, 2022 after battling many health challenges. Charles was born on June 17, 1939 to Charles and Olive Becker in Newark, New Jersey. The family moved to Palm Beach county, Florida when Charlie was a child, along with his younger brother. After graduating from Palm Beach High School he entered the Coast Guard and served his country honorably, both actively and in the reserves. He enjoyed a few careers before finding his niche as a dental technician, following in the footsteps of his father. After working together with his father he began a long partnership with a very well known practice in West Palm Beach as their in-house technician. Eventually he would open Becker Dental Lab in Jupiter until his retirement. He was part of this profession for over 40 years, performing it with great attention to detail, skill and artistry. Upon retiring in 2012 he moved from Palm Beach Gardens to Vero Beach with his wife. Charlie’s greatest passion was fishing and being in nature. He also loved working with his hands at carpentry and various other hobbies even making his own fishing lures. There was nothing he could not repair. He was a man of honesty, integrity, kindness and great faith which he unabashedly shared with others.
He leaves behind a deeply grieving family who find the void he left behind very hard to fill. We all take comfort in the sure knowledge we will one day be reunited. He is survived by his loving wife Carola of 31 years, a son Shane Becker (wife Michelle), grandson Zane, brother Donald Becker (wife Sandy), nephews Brad, Brian, Jay and Jeff along with many cousins, great-nephews and nieces and wonderful friends. At this time no public service is planned but if anyone would like to honor Charlie’s memory we ask you donate to worldchallenge.org.
