Charles Jacob Averitt II passed on February 25, 2022 at his home in Montgomery, TX in the company of his loved ones. Born in Houston on February 15, 1965, Averitt spent his life in Southeast Texas and served an admirable career in the public service. An avid outdoorsman, Averitt enjoyed hiking and camping in Colorado, fishing, hunting, and water sports. His adventurous spirit endures in the family and friends with whom he lovingly shared his astute wisdom. Averitt is preceded in passing by his father Charles Carroll Averitt, stepfather Dennis Lee Woods, paternal grandparents Ethel and Charles Jacob Averitt I, and maternal grandparents Annie and Chester Janczak. He is survived by his loving wife Rosa Murillo Averitt; his dutiful children: Joseph, Jessica, and Enrique; his caring mother Joy Woods and siblings: Roxanne, Rebecca, and Derrick. His memory will live fondly in the hearts of the Averitt, Murillo, Janczak, and Woods families and friends. A celebration of life will be held in his honor at the City of Conroe Activity Center (1204 Candy Cane Lane; Conroe, TX 77356) on Saturday, March 26 at 11 am. Per his wishes, he will be laid to rest among the mountains of the Continental Divide in Pitkin, Colorado.
