Chuck's obituary
Charles “Chuck” Steven Austin moved to his heavenly home on March 1st, 2022 after a long battle with liver disease, he is finally free. He was 61 years old. Chuck was born March 25th, 1961 in Honolulu, HI. He enjoyed being an “Army brat” and his favorite place that he got to live was in Germany. His parents settled in the Grand Junction area where his dad started multiple business. Chuck graduated from R-5 High School in 1980 and worked with his dad in painting, construction, carpet cleaning and window tinting. He had a terrible ATV accident at the young age of 25 and had been disabled since. One of his greatest joys in life was serving as a sound engineer in Faith Heights Church which he did for many years.
Chuck married Sarah Lynn Austin on May 30th, 1998, they had no children but loved their furbabies Tuffy, Brinkley & Bongo. Chuck’s hobbies included music, fast cars, and guitars. He was a jokester like his dad and took every opportunity to bring a smile to those around him. He was a songwriter and could fix anything with enough duct tape and JB Weld. He loved helping and serving others and did so for as long as he was able to.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Austin, brothers David Austin and Danny Austin, nieces Jennifer, Ashley, Sondra and Trina and great-nephew Caleb. He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Donna Austin, his Sister Karen Harris and his niece Lena Austin.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 12th at 1:00pm at Faith Heights Church, 600 28 ¼ Road, Grand Junction, CO 81504.
