I didn't know Granddaddy, Charles Ball, as well I wish I had, but spent time with him on several occasions late in his life with my wife (his granddaughter), with my daughters (his great-granddaughters), and other family members -- and of course heard hundreds of stories. He was one of the warmest, most caring people I've met. And to know just a tiny bit about his life of giving to others, serving his country, raising a family, and living out his values, makes his passing so sad. His time with us at our wedding, him petting his dogs, making a simple plate of eggs in his kitchen, or contributing a surprise video to my wife's surprise 40th birthday video spring to mind when I think of him, along with his big smile and firm hugs. Thanks so much to all who cared for him, family and health workers and neighbors and others, through all of his days, and especially towards the end when we could not visit as often as we always wished we could. He'll be in our hearts always.
Our families have drifted apart and it has been years since our gatherings together.  The Ralph and Frankie Turner Davis families all have special memories of growing up and seeing the cousins.  Both of your parents were such sweet people.  Because of Jean's sharing of their trip to Kitty Hawk, we also enjoyed so many special memories there.  Our son, Jamie, still has a mechanical cow that Jean gave him after Aunt Elsie passed away. Jamie is 41 now.   Always smiling and always loving family!  They are together again, along with other family members.  Our prayers are with you all.

Jane, Charles & Jan. So sorry about your loss 😭 Uncle Arnold will be greatly MISSED. He was a precious GOD loving man. Praying for GOD to continue holding you ALL in his arm's. Giving You comfort, strength and Peace. 🙏🙏🙏. Dad and I Love you guys.

LOVE,

Pamela Bonds & Floyd Ball 💖
