Charles enjoyed fishing and hunting. While hunting, one day, he was befriended by a friendly
chipmunk. It was then that he knew he could no longer shoot an animal and would spend time in
the woods taking pictures of wildlife. Charles always had a camera ready and left behind many
photos for his family to enjoy. He loved keeping in touch with everyone on Facebook. He posted
many poems expressing his love for his wife. His comments were usually in all caps, funny, and
very lighthearted.
In 1990 he relocated to Dagsboro, DE, to pursue his lifelong dream of being a poultry farmer.
He successfully raised flocks for Mountaire and Perdue until 2009.
While Charles' family grieves his loss, they are choosing to remember him in a way that honors his
spirit. A memorial mass will be held and soon announced for family and friends.
In place of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to Saint Ann Catholic
Church 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, De 19930 or the National Kidney Foundation.
