Charles Albert Young passed away peacefully on December 6, 2024, at the age of 67. He was born on April 6, 1958, to Patricia L. (Cade) Young and Roy L. Young. Charles’s life was characterized by professional excellence, skilled craftsmanship, and steadfast devotion to his family.

Charles pursued a distinguished career as a Project Superintendent, dedicating more than twenty-five years of service to Sundt Construction prior to his retirement from Lloyd Construction. During his career, he contributed significantly to numerous prominent projects throughout the Tucson region, including the Tucson International Airport, The Highlands at Dove Mountain, the Pima Air & Space Museum, and Biosphere 2. His work was consistently marked by precision, integrity, and an uncompromising commitment to quality. His legacy endures not only through these landmark projects, but also through the thoughtfully constructed home he built for his family in rural Vail, Arizona.

Charles often reflected fondly on his childhood summers spent back east at the family tree farms; experiences that fostered a lifelong appreciation for the land, family heritage, and the enduring value of simplicity.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia L. (Cade) Young. He is survived by his father, Roy L. Young of Palm Beach, Florida; his sisters, Cynthia, Cheryl, and Kimberly Young; his daughters, Angela Peck (David), Laura Young, and Jessica Harp (Corbin); and his former spouse of twenty-seven years and the mother of his daughters Laura and Jessica, Gail L. (Bain) Young. He is also survived by many friends, colleagues, and acquaintances.
