Charlene's obituary

Charlene Lynn Knupp

Age 58

Charlene Lynn Knupp, a name meaning free Spirit, was born to James and Sharron Knupp on February 10th, 1964 in Akron Ohio. She is and will always be immensely missed by all who have known her.

Charlene was raised by both of her loving parents, she spent her childhood in Akron Ohio. While in High School she held several leading singing roles in her High School Theater productions. She was always described to have the voice of an Angel that just didn't have her wings yet. She maintained lifelong friends after graduating from Ellet High School in 1982.

On December 18th, 2022, God decided that he needed Charlene and therefore she passed away without warning. Charlene’s death has left all her family, friends, and all that had the blessing of knowing her in absolute turmoil. Charlene had planned to start her own company selling her handmade jewelry. She had planned a trip to Hawaii to spend time with her son and grandchildren and she had so many more hopes, dreams, and goals for her life.

Charlene poured her heart and soul into her all that she did and all the people around her absolutely loved and adored her. There truly wasn’t anything that Charlene couldn’t do, when she put her mind to it. Charlene touched everybody’s lives and made it a point to make all those she encountered know that they were loved too.

Charlene is survived by her two sons, Joshua Van Horn and Jacob Van Horn, and her three grandchildren. She is preceded by her father James Knupp and mother Sharron Knupp.

“You never said I’m leaving, you never said goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knew why. A million times we needed you, a million times we cried. If love alone could have saved you, you never would have died. In life we loved you dearly, in death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a place that no one could ever fill. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God took you home.” Author Unknown.

The cremation will take place and Charlene's remains will be sent to Hawaii where a private service will be held at a later date by her surviving kin. The family is not requesting any donations or flowers to be sent.
