Charlene Ann Geary, age 79 passed away September 21, 2024 peacefully at home with her daughters by her side.

Charlene was born July 14, 1945 to Joseph Sammet and Marion (Jean) Shane in Peoria, Illinois. She was raised in Peoria and worked many factory positions before attending Methodist Medical School of Nursing earning her degree in Registered Nursing. Charlene went on to pursue Psychiatric, Med Surg and Critical Care nursing while providing only the best quality of care to her patients over the years.

Charlene will be remembered for her strength, kindness, loving heart and dedication to her family as well as her love of animals. She loved reading, knitting and just spending time with her family. She enriched our lives and we will cherish the memories we have and her beautiful smile until we meet again. We will hold you in our hearts until we hold you in heaven!

Charlene is survived by her son Anthony Carroll (grandchildren - Anthony, Shelby, Zachary), daughter Robyn Shipley (Doug) (grandchild - Kayla) son Todd Carroll (grandchild - Daniel), daughter Amber Geary-Hayes (Brett) (grandchildren - Michael, Kayde, Eric), brother Doug (Jody) niece, nephew as well as many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by father Joseph Sammet, mother Marion (Jean) Shane, son Lance Sprowls, son Doug Sprowls, grandson Craig Shipley and grandson Brandon Carroll.
