I'm so sorry to just be hearing about this now. Charis and I communicated from time to time about her hormone therapy. On behalf of everyone on the facebook forum, MTF Trans HRT Hormone Forum, I would like to send my deepest condolences. Charis was an absolute charm to talk to and someone I considered a friend. She will be greatly missed.

Charis was a part of our online Immune Resilience coaching cohort. We had online classes together over the past several months. We have had similar health struggles, so I reached out to her and we became friends and texted each other frequently. Charis was one of the most gentle, sensitive, kind souls I have ever met. She was deeply intuitive and intelligent. We had amazing, deep conversations together about illness, healing, and spirituality. She was so supportive of me in my own health journey, and she checked in on me often to send words of encouragement and hope.
She had this incredible, unshakeable sense of peace and faith about her- unlike anyone I've ever met. Despite living through hell, she never doubted for a moment that one day, things would eventually be ok. Her presence has had such an impact on my own healing journey.
I will always remember Charis. Her spirit touched my heart and I am so grateful to have known her for the past several months.
And to the family, I am so sorry for your loss. Although I have never met you all, I am sending my love and prayers to you all.

Charis was the sweetest soul and absolutely radiated kindness through her messages! I never got to meet her but she was an amazing source of information and support for those of us in the Histamine Intolerance Facebook group. She fought MCAS so hard and I'm so devastated that her young life was cut short :( she was truly amazing. I'm so, so sorry to her family. I'm sending all my love and support to you at this time.

Charis was an old neighbor of mine here on Oahu! In Mililani terrace, she was so kind and welcoming. We became friends and had gone to the beach and snorkeling sharks cove together, and she gave me her vintage microwave which I love. I’m so saddened to hear about her passing, during her life she has been such a warm light for many, many lives. The first and only neighbor I have become friends with. Much love.

I met Charis on the first day of our health science class in 2016. She was so friendly, positive, and cheerful every single day. I looked forward to 7th period because we laughed so much in that class. She told me that she wanted to go to college in Hawaii and was so happy to see she actually did! I have never met anyone like Charis, and I don't think I ever will. I am sending so much love to her family.

I'm so saddened to hear this news. I met Charis in an online Hawaiian Studies class during our time at Leeward Community College in 2021. Covid was still hitting hard on the islands so our friendship remained virtual, but that didn't keep us from connecting. She was vibrant and radiated positivity and curiosity. We had many long conversations about Hawaii, past life theories, alternative medicine and anything else that sparked our interests. My heart goes out to her family. I'm grateful to have known her.
