Alicia, Silas, and Wyatt -- I'm so saddened to learn of this. Chad was a friend for many years, and a source of regular support for me as my wife went through her struggles with cancer. I'm sure your friends and family will be a support and comfort. I will not say it gets easier, but I know over time the Chad-sized hole in your life will contain more happy memories than pain. Cherish those memories, and if I can help, please let me know.
Chad was truly a mentor to me in every sense of the word and I learned a lot about what it meant to be a good colleague and friend from him early on in my career. It was clear when I was listening to the memories that Chad's friends and family shared that Chad remained authentic and true to who he was regardless of the setting and consistently let others see the best side of himself. It is not surprising to me how big of an imprint he made in those who were fortunate enough to get to spend time with him, and while I am deeply saddened by the news, I am thankful that he has so many of us out there to enjoy and share our memories of him. You will be sorely missed Chad. - Henry Chung.
Chad was our neighbor in Manhattan Beach during a very difficult time in my life and in the lives my children. His friendship helped support us through those hard times. He exemplified all that was good in humanity and his love, understanding, and friendship will never be forgotten. There must be a special place in heaven reserved for him. Our hearts go out to his family and the loved ones left behind. May God bless you and shore you up the way Chad did for me and my family. Please call on me or my wife any time if there is anything we can ever do.

Dear Alicia. My sincerest condolences for you and your family. Praying 🙏for you . Aunt Angela
I'm so saddened to hear about Chad's passing and send my deepest condolences to his family. I've known Chad for almost 20 years and will miss him dearly. Chad was a mentor to me both on a personal and professional level. He was someone I could always go to for advice and I valued his insight. His infectious laugh and quick wit made every moment with him enjoyable. Rest in peace my friend, you will be missed.

Alicia, Silas, and Wyatt,
Lifting you all up in prayers of so much love, peace, and strength. We love you and your beautiful family. We will always hold Chad in our memories and in our hearts especially of how Roger first met Chad on the delivery floor in Cedars and Chad saying, "Hey, you look like a new dad too. Do you want some free parking validation?" Our hospital rooms were right next to each other, but we did not meet until a few months later at My Gym. Your family will continue to pour forth the fruits of the spirit... love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, encouragement, and grace that stands the test of time. You and Chad showed all that and more and it was a blessing to all who witnessed this love. Chad was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed. Your rock solid marriage and clear communication with each other will always be remembered and admired. Silas and Wyatt will always remember that mommy and daddy loved each other with all of their hearts. As your friend, I will always try to keep Chad's memory alive in conversations with you and your sweet boys. I love you beyond words and I pray that " God will go before you, walk beside you, stand behind you" that He will be with you Always. ~ Matthew 28:20
" For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord. Plans to Prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope for the future. ~ Jeremiah 29:11
For Chad... "Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise." ~Luke 23:43
Wrapping you in so much love,
The Batchelder Family ( Laura, Roger, Avery)
Chad was a sectionmate of mine at HBS. He was one of the kindest, nicest, and funniest people. He always made me laugh and brought joy to everyone around him. Chad was one of those people who was friends with everyone. I am so heartbroken that he has passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family.
We were saddened and shocked to learn of the passing of Chad. We have known him for many years, first at Trinity Capital and then at CapitalSpring. He was a true gentleman, he was exceptionally good at what he did and a great friend. We will miss him and wish only the very best for his family.

Warm regards,
Roland Spongberg, Matt McGuinness, Jay Spongberg, Paul Tanner, and all of your friends at WKS Restaurant Group
We all send our love and prayers that you may find comfort in your sweet memories of Chad and peace as you have to face the furture without him. We knew him as a great friend, and dedicated husband and father. He always seemed to take life with a touch of humor and a generous measure of goodwill. He will be missed by us and many more.
I was very sorry to learn of Chad’s illness and passing. He was very generous. Last summer, I was doing a fund raiser for a family, Chad missed the fundraiser but saw me later and gave money to support a family that he didn’t know. From extended Spaulding family parties, lunch in Jr. High (when I felt friendless), hanging out in High School, to movie night at BYU, Chad was a good friend to me. I will miss him.
Our hearts go out to Alicia, Silas, Wyatt and all of Chad's wonderful family. We are all heartbroken for your loss. Chad left every interaction with others feeling better for the experience and every room was brighter with him in it. I was lucky to know Chad in business school and our family has been grateful to know Chad and his family in Manhattan Beach. We have great memories with Chad, one of which I wanted to share. Our kids attended the Montessori pre-school in our neighborhood together. A few years ago on Halloween, there was a get together at the school in the morning for all the parents and kids in costume. I arrived late, but dressed in a full Elmo costume as a surprise. Chad was on his way to the office and was dressed in a nice suit and tie, and somehow he immediately knew it was me in the Elmo outfit. Without hesitation and in front of all the parents and children, Chad walks up and whispers "I know its you McCafferty" and proceeds to start punching and beating the crap out of Elmo (me) to the total delight, laughter and cheers of all the children! May the road rise to meet you Chad. May the wind be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and may the rain fall softly on your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
My heart broke when I heard the news of Chad's passing. Chad was a tremendous supporter of St. Raphael School and his legacy will live on in all the underserved students he and Alicia helped over the years. Chad will remain in all of of our hearts and prayers. Alicia, Silas and Wyatt, you have many people who love you and may you find solace in the love Chad had for you. You were the lights of his life.
I knew Chad for at least 15 years. He was one of the good guys in finance. An upstanding individual with high integrity, deep knowledge, and a gregarious personality. He will be greatly missed. We pray for the eternal peace rest of Chad’s soul and the strength and resilience of his family and loved ones to bear this tragic loss. May God bless you all.
I am so sorry for your loss. I knew Chad as a fellow Analyst at Goldman and classmate at HBS. Always smiling and ready to help. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers with Chad's family. Om Shanti
What I remember most about Chad is his infectious smile. I was in Chad's section at HBS and am so sorry that the world has lost such a wonderful person too early.
Truly sad news. I am so sorry for Chad’s family and friends. I will miss Chad, he made such a positive impact on so many with his happy and positive personality. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family.
Alicia, Silas, Wyatt and all of Chad’s family and close friends, I am so sorry for your profound loss. It is shocking to think that I won’t see Chad at the next reunion or holiday party, something I really looked forward to over the years. When I think about Chad, I think about his warm and genuine smile. He was a person I was always truly happy to run into and catch up with. Certainly one of the most sincerely likable people I have ever known. Sending love and deep condolences.
Chad was a wonderful person, and I feel lucky to have known him. He is missed by many of us. My condolences to Alicia, Silas and Wyatt.
Some people simply bring warm memories….it’s just that way. Chad is one of those. Seeing his smile in these pics has the same effect. My condolences to you all.

Godspeed Chad.
I am so sorry to hear this heartbreaking news. I knew Chad at HBS and he was always a kind and happy person. I have boys the same age and I can’t imagine their loss. So very sorry.

Nan
