Chad's obituary
Chad Christopher Myre
November 7, 1984 – January 29, 2023
Chad Christopher Myre entered heaven on January 29, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 7, 1984, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Harlene and Gregory Myre. Chad married Sara Pribula on June 12, 2016 in Andover, Minnesota. They lived together in Shakopee, Minnesota. Chad was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, mentor, and friend to those that had the opportunity to share in his life.
Chad graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Metropolitan State University. He passionately and intently served clients at Touchstone Mental Health. He loved playing the guitar and was a member of several bands throughout his life – his favorite being Fatal Decree that won a Battle of the Bands in their prime. He also greatly enjoyed traveling with his wife and enjoying good food; listening to metal music and snuggling in soft blankets; studying biology and psychology; decorating for Christmas; and spending time with family, friends, and colleagues. He had a big heart, a great sense of humor, a vigorous laugh, and an exceptional head of hair. He always gave thoughtful gifts and brought the best foodie additions to get togethers. He embraced and loved deep conversation, especially about politics, football, and life.
Chad is survived by his loving wife Sara; mother Harlene Myre; father Gregory Myre (Pam); brother Shane Myre (Gloria); sister Nickie Nilsen (Erik); sister Codi Nundahl (Brandon); step-sister Tracey Blackbird (Nathan); step-brother Larry Gyger (Michelle); nieces and nephews Gabe, Macy, and Teddy Myre; Ethan, Kate and Jack Nilsen; Lydia, Everly, and Axel Nundahl; Elsie Hawbaker; Will and Curtis Crezee; Dakotah and Shy Gyger; in-laws Debbie Goodwin and Connor Pribula; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends; and four beloved cats. He was preceded in death by grandparents Harlyn and Evelyn Qualley, and Chuck and Jane Myre; aunt Joanne Larson; cousin Scott Halberg; and father-in-law Jack Pribula, Jr.
A celebration of Chad’s life will be held at 11am on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Calvary Lutheran, 6817 Antrim Rd in Edina. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. There will be a luncheon after the service, followed by burial at Lebanon Cemetery in Apple Valley.
