William "Chad" Donaldson, passed away on August 5, 2024, in White, GA, just shy of his 35th birthday. Born on August 10, 1989, in Marietta, GA, Chad's exuberant spirit and zeal for life made him a bright light in the lives of all who knew him.

Chad was an avid sports enthusiast, with a special passion for baseball. There are many fond memories at baseball games where Chad loved to be, on the mound or in the seats. A loving father, his playful and silly nature also made him a favorite uncle. He was always up for a trip to the zoo, park, or a dip in the pool, though he was usually late, and you couldn’t call to ask where he was because his phone had run out of juice!

Chad will be remembered for his fierce love for his friends and family and dedication to assisting others, often putting their needs ahead of his own. Those who knew Chad will fondly remember him for his love, compassion, and humor.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Dorothy Brooke, and J.V. and Carol Sue Donaldson; uncles, Randall Brooke, Mike Donaldson, and Danny Donaldson; Chad is survived by his mother, Melanie Brooke; father, W.J. Donaldson; son, Chuck Taylor and his mother, Erin; son, Liam Donaldson and his mother, Sarah; son, Carter Donaldson and his mother, Claire; sister, Morgan Campey (Kyle); brother, John Donaldson; aunts, Cheryl Donaldson, Alline Donaldson, and Bonnie Donaldson; niece, Lairyn Campey; nephew, Graham Campey; as well as many beloved cousins, family members, and friends he considered family.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held in St. Louis at a date and time to be announced.
