Cesar's obituary
Cesar Abueg (June 8, 1976 - January 20, 2026)
Cesar Abueg was born in Manila, Philippines, on June 8, 1976, and lived a life marked by purpose, faith, and profound connection. Though his journey took him to many places around the world, wherever Cesar went, he built community, formed deep relationships, and left people better than he found them.
Cesar lived a full and meaningful life. He was a man of strength, integrity, and valor—a true warrior for the Lord. He loved Christ, his wife, and his family with his whole heart. A devoted husband, loving family man, and loyal friend, Cesar was someone others could always count on. He was hardworking, disciplined, and deeply committed to excellence, spending many years building a career as a networker and UX designer. Yet no matter how full his responsibilities were, he always made time for his family, his friends, and the people he cared for most.
Cesar had an uncanny ability to connect with anyone. He made people feel seen, valued, and understood, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Determination, intelligence, humility, and faithfulness were among his many defining qualities. He believed deeply that he was called by God to connect people—not only to one another, but ultimately to Christ—and he lived that calling through love, generosity, and service.
His leadership was defined not by title, but by service. Cesar volunteered extensively with numerous national Asian American community organizations, stepping forward whenever he was called. He served in leadership roles including President of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA) Southern Region, Co-Founder of the Chicago Asian Network (CAN), and Florida Director for NextDayBetter. In every role, he led with integrity, heart, and a deep commitment to uplifting the community.
Cesar loved to travel and seek out new adventures with friends and family. His love for the outdoors and new experiences naturally led him to passions like rock climbing and pickleball—activities that became yet another way for him to build friendships and connect with others. His presence was larger than life, and his joy, warmth, and openness drew people in wherever he went.
Above all, Cesar loved others deeply and genuinely. His heart for generosity and helping those around him was extraordinary. He had a beautiful heart, and the way he loved will remain with us forever.
We take comfort in knowing that Cesar’s legacy lives on through the lessons he taught, the love he shared, the communities he served, the countless lives he touched, and the memories we will cherish always.
