How you can help
Cedric “C.J.” Fontenot was deeply loved and cherished by his family. He is survived by his devoted parents, Tikisha Fontenot and Cedric Fontenot; his loving grandmothers, Jackie Fontenot and Brenda Joubert; and his siblings, brother Cody Fontenot and sister Chelsea Fontenot. He was also surrounded by a large and loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins who held him close to their hearts. While we take comfort in knowing C.J. is in a better place, his passing has left an immeasurable void in our lives.
Our family is grieving deeply the loss of our dearly and truly loved son. It feels as though it was just yesterday that he was here—laughing, sharing stories, and joyfully updating us on how beautifully his life was unfolding.
C.J. turned his life over to the Lord with the loving support of his church family at Dowlen Road and Lindale Church of Christ. He was committed to growing in his faith and faithfully shared the importance of salvation with everyone he encountered.
Throughout his journey, C.J. touched countless lives and shaped the lessons and strength we carry forward. Though our pain is profound, we are grateful for the love, light, and purpose he brought into this world. C.J. will always be remembered, always be missed, and forever be loved.
