Cayden's obituary
Cayden Greenig was born on July 28, 2007, to his loving parents, Brett and Thao Greenig. "Love you to the moon and back" are the forever whispers of their dedicated love to their son. Born a younger brother, his sister Olivia writes that she looks up to him.
Cayden was kind, sweet, funny, articulate, quiet, strong and always smiled. His presence exuded love - love for his family, love for his friends, love for life.
His young life was lived in typical and atypical settings but always surrounded by his devoted family wherever life took him. He attended Pacific Rim Elementary, Aviara Oaks Middle school, and Sage Creek High school. He balanced life between Rady Children's Hospital, school district support and of course through the unprecedented times of Covid. Through all that, Cayden remained flexible, playful, had the strength of a hero while staying focused on his journey.
Cayden was such a remarkable young man that he taught his parents, elders, peers and family a lot about being a better human. He represents the good of the world and his gentle demeanor influenced the best parts of those he loved the most.
Forever a young pure heart, Cayden was taken from us much too soon. He was able to teach us so much about strength, friendship, kindness, and love in such a short amount of time. Cayden is survived by a loving group of family, friends, teachers, and classmates.
Please honor him and celebrate his life with stories that will influence others to be the strength to do good in the world.
