It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cathlyn "Cat" McGowan on November 17, 2024. 

Born on September 25, 1964, Cat was a radiant beacon of joy, love, and passion. Known fondly as "Cat" to her friends and family, she had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel welcome and cherished, earning her the heartfelt title of "everyone's second mom."

Cat lived her life to the fullest, captivating those around her with her contagious positivity and warmth. She had an unparalleled gift for turning ordinary moments into cherished memories and left an indelible mark on every life she touched.

Her life was tragically cut short when she was diagnosed with stage 4 leiomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Cat fought a hard and courageous battle with unwavering grace and strength, embodying the resilience and tenacity that defined her spirit.

Cat’s greatest pride and joy were her family. She leaves behind a loving legacy in her devoted husband, cherished daughters, and adoring grandchildren, who were the heart of her world. Their exceptional bond is a testament to Cat’s nurturing spirit and unconditional love.

We invite all who were touched by Cat’s radiant spirit to join us for a celebration of her life on November 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Peppersmash in the Shops of Legacy East. Together, we will honor her memory and celebrate the vibrant life she shared with us all.
