Cathy Tatum Pisciella, cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on October 4, 2020, in Tyler, Texas. Born on February 13, 1964, in Houston, Texas, Cathy filled every room with laughter, warmth, and a love of life that was impossible to ignore.

An insurance agent by trade, Cathy’s true passions were her creativity and her curiosity. She loved painting, doodling, and coloring, and could often be found enjoying her favorite shows like Criminal Minds and Charmed. Music was her heartbeat—rock anthems from Metallica, Korn, Chevelle, Shinedown, Creed, and Ozzy Osbourne were her constant companions.

Cathy had a gift for making life lighter. Her humor and caring nature made even the most stressful moments feel easier, and she had a quiet strength that comforted everyone around her. A devoted Pagan, she loved exploring her beliefs and sharing her wisdom in gentle, loving ways without ever imposing them on her children.

She is survived by her daughters Christina, Shannon (and son-in-law Brandon), Terrie (and son-in-law Fernando), and Sherrie, and by her mother, Wanda. She was preceded in death by her father, Terry, and her grandson Fernando. Cathy was an only child, but she had a heart big enough for all who knew her.

Though a private service was held, Cathy’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends. She IS and will always be deeply missed, remembered for her laughter, her love, and the way she made life feel brighter for everyone lucky enough to know her.
