Cathy's obituary
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Cathy McCracken on March 17, 2026, born July 11, 1954. She will be remembered for her heartfelt laughter, unwavering strength, and for being a beacon of love and guidance to her family and friends.
Cathy was a quirky and interesting character, possessing an infectious sense of humor and a heartwarming ability to bring light into the lives of all who knew her. She was giving, loving, funny, tough and goofy, with a spirit that was as strong as it was gentle. A firm believer in Jesus, our savior, Cathy was always ready to offer help or solutions to those she loved. She possessed a unique knack for making people feel better, generously sharing her wisdom at every opportunity.
Despite her trials, Cathy remained sturdy, boasting a resilience that rivaled a cat's nine lives. Her love for her family was unmatched, raising her children and grandchildren with an unwavering sense of dedication and strength. Cathy was also gifted with a green thumb, able to grow anything handed to her, a testament to her nurturing and patient nature.
She leaves behind a rich legacy of faith and family love. Surviving her are her loving spouse, David McCracken, her children, Melissa Hosford, David L McCracken, Joseph McCracken, and James McCracken. She is also survived by her siblings, Helen McCracken, Joan Breen, Terry Coxwell, and Sally Coxwell. Cathy's grandchildren, Jonathan Hosford, Kristie Hosford, Brian Hosford, Kalvin McCracken, Nate McCracken, Ariel McCracken, and Natalia McCracken, will forever cherish her memory.
Cathy's absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege to know her. But her spirit, her lessons, and her faith in God will continue to live on in her children and the family she loved so dearly. Cathy will always be remembered as a source of strength, love, and inspiration. She was a remarkable woman and will be greatly missed.
