Catherine Louise Snover

Catherine Louise Snover, age 56, of Sayre, PA passed away at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, surrounded by her family members.

Catherine “Cathy” was born on November 19, 1967 in Santa Maria, California the daughter of the late Richard Snover and Helen Glosenger Snover Kelly. She grew up in Sayre and graduated from Sayre High School. Shortly after graduation Cathy moved to Dale City, VA and lived with her sister while pursuing several career options. She later moved back to Sayre to be close to her mother and she lived there the remainder of her life. Cathy was active in her church but spent the majority of her free time living, laughing and loving with her children and grandchildren. She spent the past 13 years with her soul mate, Loren Frantz, whom she had known since high school. Cathy loved family gatherings, travel, riding on the motorcycle with Loren, visits to the beach and a good glass of wine.

Cathy was an organ donor and her generous heart is the final action that she took—offering the gift of life and health to people in need who she has never even met. This epitomizes her generosity and selflessness of spirit. She will be deeply missed, more than words can express, but we are also incredibly grateful that her gift of self will live on in others.

Family members include daughter Chelsea Lynne Snover of Escondido, CA, son Dana Paul Boockoff and wife Hilary, daughter Stephanie Joy Boockoff, daughter Nicole Catherine Boockoff, all of Sayre, PA, and son Justin Michael Boockoff and wife Claire of Middleburg, PA; five grandchildren, Nukem, Jude, Iris, Lennon & Gideon. She is survived by brothers, Richard Snover of San Diego, CA, Scott Snover of Escondido, CA, Timothy Snover of Hopewell, VA, and sister Constance Palmore of Stafford, VA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for family and friends will be held in honor of Cathy at North Waverly Chapel, 38 NY-34, Waverly, NY at 1:00pm on September 14, 2024.

There will be a "Celebration of Life" Beach Party & Bonfire after the memorial service.  This will be held at the home of Loren Frantz, 114 Spring St, Sayre, PA, starting at 3:00pm.  Everyone is welcome and asked to bring a "pot luck" dish to share and whatever you would like to drink.  Also please bring your own camp/lawn chairs or blankets to sit on.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that anyone wishing to honor Cathy make a donation to the CORE “Heroes for Life” program.
