Katy was a horse girl from California who travelled the world as a child and settled down in New Jersey where she started a family and worked as a dental assistant for many years. She married Dr. David Bolger in 1985, and divorced in 1994. Then she remarried Kristian Skavnes a few years after and divorced in 2009. Her final love was Tommy Thomson with whom she was involved for many of her final years. She was a silly, fun loving person who loved her family even more than her horses, dogs, and cats. She enjoyed showing her horses competitively, spending time on her boat on the lake, sunbathing to a deep mahogany, and making holidays special for her family, especially Halloween. Toward the end of her life, she struggled with an alcohol addiction that demanded everything from her and on November 6, 2021, took her life. She is survived by her son, Thomas Bolger, born 1989, and her granddaughter Zoe Bolger, born 2020. She will be missed dearly by her friends and family.

A Celebration of Life will be held in January 2022. More details will be distributed.
