Catherine's obituary

Catherine Mulville Williams, a beloved kindergarten teacher, loving mother, grandmother, devoted friend, and identical twin, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024, at the age of 75, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Born on January 29, 1949, Cathie, as she was affectionately known, dedicated her life to nurturing young minds. She spent 30 years as a dedicated kindergarten teacher, inspiring countless students with her warmth, patience, and unwavering commitment to education. Her impact extended beyond the classroom, as she was admired by colleagues and adored by her students.

Cathie was a devout Catholic and an active member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Los Alamitos, CA. Before her illness, she was a dedicated volunteer, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and visiting the sick and elderly in their homes and nursing facilities. Her faith was a source of strength and comfort to many, and she shared her spiritual gifts generously.

A lifelong dog lover, Cathie opened her heart and home to countless “fur-kids.” She rescued many dogs from local shelters, providing them with love, care, and a safe haven. Additionally, she dedicated her time to fostering dogs, nurturing them and helping them find their perfect families. Her compassionate spirit and unwavering love for animals will be deeply missed. Her legacy of caring for animals lives on in her son, Brian, who shares her deep love and compassion for all creatures, especially dogs.

Cathie was the cherished mother of Brian Patrick Williams. Her love, support, and unwavering belief in him were constant sources of strength. She truly was an amazing mother and her memory will forever live on in his heart.

As an identical twin, Cathie shared a unique bond with her sister, Connie Ricketts. They were inseparable, spending their entire lives together. Connie will deeply miss her twin sister and carry her loving memory in her heart and soul forever.

Cathie is survived by her two sons, Brian and Kevin Williams, as well as her granddaughter, Paige Williams.

Cathie will be deeply missed by her family, friends, pets, and all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Los Alamitos, CA on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 1030am.
