On June 21, 2022, with her daughter by her side, Catherine Marie Little, 77, reposed in the Lord after a lengthy battle with Vascular Dementia. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clyde J. Little, her parents Thomas R. and Helen Carroll, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Cathy is survived by her daughter, Amy Lynn Johnston Little (Rev. Father Terence Johnston), her brothers James Carroll (Pink) and Rev. Father Thomas Carroll. Cathy had a deep love for God, and dedicated her life to the service of others. She ministered to the needs of many over her time as a teacher, career counselor, and then as a family, grief, and youth counselor. Cathy worked to lift the spirits of those she held dear, both in her family and in the community. As her final gift, we ask all of those whose lives she touched to take a moment and reach out to those in your family and community whom you know are in need of love and support. Let them know they are not alone, that you are there to provide a listening ear, a loving presence, and a gentle spirit, just as Cathy did for so many over her lifetime.

Visitation will be held at St. Raphael Church, 1118 Chislett Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15206 on Wednesday, July 27 at 11:00a.m., followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at noon. A celebration of life gathering will follow for all in attendance. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, and in keeping with Cathy’s desire to serve others, we ask that donations be sent to the Piarist School at 7279 KY 321, Hagerhill, KY 41222. The Piarist School, started by Cathy’s brother, Father Thomas Carroll, has offered tuition free education to the underprivileged in Eastern Appalachia for over 32 years and has achieved 100% success rate in college attendance post-graduation
