Catherine Komaromy, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, gained her angel wings on February 3, 2026 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ. Catherine was 94 years old. 

Born in Queens, NY, Catherine was blessed with a long life that was rich and full. Those who were touched by her know that her love, kindness, and legacy go far beyond the years she spent with us. Catherine was adventurous from an early age and had a deep love for travel. She especially enjoyed visiting Europe, Lake George, Lake Minnewaska, and Lake Mohonk, often capturing the beauty of her journeys through photography. She also loved hosting barbecues, where family and friends gathered to share food, laughter, and lasting memories. One of her greatest accomplishments was becoming a Deputy Court Administrator for the Township of Basking Ridge, New Jersey. Catherine was outgoing and sociable, making connections everywhere she went. She was a constant source of encouragement, especially to her grandchildren, whom she inspired to chase their dreams and always reminding them to just “go for it.” 

Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Victor Komaromy. She is survived by her loving daughter Karen Adriaanse, her grandson, Tyler Adriaanse and his wife, Jillian Gilbert-Adriaanse, her granddaughter Tina Adriaanse and her fiance Donte Chandler along with her granddaughter Victoria DiNunzio. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren, Nikko Evans, Giovanni Chambliss, Gianna Chandler and Jake Peterson as well as her dog Tia and many loving, wonderful friends.
