Catherine May Knopp, 95, of Reisterstown, MD passed away Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Long View Health Care Center in Manchester, MD.

Born June 27, 1926 in Maryland Line, MD, she was the daughter of the late Edward William Gettle and Elsie May (Trabert) Gettle. She was the wife of Russell Melvin Knopp, who died in 1993.

Mrs. Knopp worked for many years at Black & Decker in Hampstead, MD. She was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses. She enjoyed gardening, canning, sewing, and caring for her home and family.

Surviving are her children, Ronald E. Knopp of Glen Rock, PA, Russell J. Knopp of Taneytown, MD, Sandra M. Cobey of Seven Valleys, PA, and Wayne L. Knopp of Taneytown, MD sister, Virginia Soper of Shenandoah, PA; Five  grandchildren, Ashley Knopp Tittle, Tabitha Knopp Neff and Wayne Knopp Jr. and Micheal Duncan, Angela Lee Parker-Humphries, and Ten great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 11, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Freeland, MD.
