"Katie" Catherine Mary (Paulson) Kamiel age 58,formerly of Ogden Dunes, In, born October 25 , 1960 in Windber, Pa . She passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 29, 2019, surrounded by loved ones at Chicago University after a hard battle with cancer. She was the daughter of late Robert A.,Sr. and Catherine C. Paulson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers Robert A. Paulson and Raymond M. Paulson. She is survived by her life companion and caregiver her "Dearest"Dave Domke and fur children Stanley and Bullet; Former husband Joseph J Kamiel Jr ; Daughter Janeen M. Kamiel; Son Robert J. Kamiel Married to Ellen(Lavery); Grandchildren Rosalinda M. Irizarry and Lillian R. Kamiel; Fur Grandchildren Roscoe and Kali; Brother Steven Paulson married to Theresa(Stropko); Sister Christine(Paulson) married to John G. Edwards; Nieces and nephews Nicholas Paulson , Anthony Paulson, Bobbie (Paulson) Willis, Gary Edwards married to Tiffani, Joshua Paulson married to Caitlin, Trista (Edwards) married to Dustin Wirick, Kayla (Paulson) Lazaration married to Christopher Lazaration , and Alexis Edwards; Great nieces and nephews , Rebecca Christopher,and Braelynn Paulson;Elizabeth and Tayah Paulson; Daniel and Brooklyn Willis; Alison Rhoades; Avery Paulson; and Landon Paulson.

She was a graduate of Forest Hills High School class of 1978. She moved out to Valparaiso Indiana from Beaverdale Pennsylvania in 1979. She was employed at Walgreens Distribution Center for 25 years. She was a member of the Izaak Walton in Portage Indiana. She loved boating on Lake Michigan , and walking along the beach watching the sunrise. The cancer she fought with everything she had. It never took her positive attitude and outlook on life away from her though, all the way till the end . She loved all of her family dearly near or far. We will miss her laugh , smile, and mostly her presence .
