Catherine Mary Hamilton, age 61 of Brownstown Michigan has passed away peacefully August 18, 2020 at her home. She was born in Detroit Michigan February 4, 1959, daughter to Janice C. Fitus and the late Frank C. Fitus. She is survived by her loving sister Delores H. Kohrs (Glenn) and brother Frank W. Fitus (Lesley).

Cathy was very proud of and loved her family dearly. Cathy is survived by her loving children Andrea Susan Gardner (Kie), and Venessa Rae Clower. Included are other family members who reside in Michigan.

Cathy spent her childhood in Garden City, and later settled to Brownstown Michigan. Cathy’s achievements include United States Coast Guard as a U.S, Merchant Marine Officer. Cathy held a State of Michigan Cosmetologist License for over 40 years. Her career path also included Rouch Performance Engineering, Kohl’s, Menards, and was nearing retirement.

Her passions included sailing, sunshine, beaches and the serene views of the water. Cathy had a great love for music, art, and cherished all her friendships.

Cremation services will take place and a private family celebration of her life will follow at a later date. Donations and contributions can be considered in memory of Catherine Mary Hamilton to the American Heart Association.
