Cathy was always so kind and helpful as our accompanist for Fresno Choral Artists.  I would occasionally sing a solo or duet with other choir members and Cathy was always so helpful in accompanying us.  She would offer helpful suggestions and would gently guide us to our best possible performance.  She was a talented musician and a friend to all of us in FCA.  I miss her but I am a better musician and a better person for having known her.  And now heaven has a brilliant musician to accompany angelic voices.  Sending love to Phil and her family.
Dear Phil & Family -
I was so sad to hear the news about Cathy. The Memorial Service was so beautiful and a perfect way to reflect on Cathy's life. It was so emotional but then there were turns of humor and love. She will be so missed. Hugs to you all.

We are deeply saddened by the loss of Cathy. She was an extraordinary person who never ceased to amaze us with all of her talents and accomplishments. Cathy always made us feel welcome and at ease. Her friendship will be greatly missed. We send our deepest condolences to Phil and her family.
Cathy, my friend & neighbor who left us suddenly & too soon, remains in my heart & thoughts. She will be lovingly remembered by so many of us at TSJG.
Her friendly demeanor, her talent, her graciousness, her contributions in so many areas will continue to enrich our lives.
Prayers & thoughts abound for Phil, their children, grands, & extended family & many, many friends.

Please accept my deepest sympathy.  What a wonderful asset she was to our mountain community for so long.  I was privileged to be a member of the Mountain Arts Chorale for many years and until recently the December Christmas performances at the Presbyterian Church in Oakhurst. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.  Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time.  Lovingly and with Hugs, Waunetta Fuchs
I had the privilege of working alongside and making music with Cathy at Sierra Vista Presbyterian Church for 10 years until she finally retired and moved down to Fresno. She was not only a joy to work with musically, but she taught me what it looks like to be a successful choir director and church musician. Her creativity and constant drive to find new and meaningful ways to use music to lead others in worship left an incredibly strong foundation and legacy at our church, and I was so blessed to know her and learn from her. I am also grateful that she was able to play for my wedding in July- her beautiful playing made the day that much more meaningful. I will miss her immensely.

Cathy has gone too soon, but we are so glad she had such a rich, full life. Her extraordinary musical talent, piano and singing, gave her such fulfillment. She enjoyed life to the fullest and was a bigger than life personality.  She added such depth to our whole family, with wonderful holiday get-togethers. She was a wonderful cook and hostess. Our family was all the better for her contributions.  In our family life we will miss her.

Dearest Phil and family, I was shocked to hear the news of Cathy’s passing. The world has lost one spectacular musician! A wonderful neighbor in YLP, playing for our Roaring River Christmas Party to playing the the massive Pipes at Hope Lutheran. I sang with Cathy’s group in Oakhurst and then with the Master Chorale. My husband also sang with the Master Chorale. My deepest condolences to all of you. I will not be able to attend a Memorial as I have moved out of state. But my prayers will be with you. 🙏❤️🙏

I was privileged to meet Phil and Cathy Walker as Members of the San Joaquin Valley Studebaker Drivers Club. I enjoyed their company at numerous Studebaker events in the past 22 years. Cathy would always remember when it was Pomegranate Jelly time and put in her order. I just loved seeing them in their 1952 Green Studebaker. She will be greatly missed and Remembered by our Club. Our thought and Prayers go out to her Family.

Sincerely

Anne F. Goodman

I was shocked to hear the news from my parents. I had just seen Cathy and Phil up here in Oakhurst back in July. We had dinner at their favorite place - El Cid's. Cathy looked a bit weak, but I knew she had recently undergone some surgeries, so it was to be expected. Otherwise, she looked fine.

I will always be thankful for the years teaching me piano, along with the various family get-togethers, especially around the holidays. She will be missed.

What a wonderful, loving, talented woman. She will be missed by so many who knew and loved her.  Judy
