Catherine's obituary
In loving memory of Catherine Ann Voegel, age 83, of Minnetonka, MN, who passed away on Wednesday June 18, 2025, at Methodist Hospital in St Louis Park, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on December 21, 1941, in Hibbing, MN, Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. Catherine is lovingly remembered by her children Stephen Voegel (Melissa), Timothy Voegel (Kathryn) and Ann Voegel; and her six grandchildren Laura (26), Maria (25), Allison (24), Anna (23), Matthew (21), and Sophia (19).
Her passions included cooking, gardening - especially coordinating the seasonal flower pots at IHM Church, playing cards and bingo with friends, and visiting with neighbors and friends. She loved each of her many pets over the years, even the birds and squirrels she adopted and fed outside. Above all she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren with whom she enjoyed planning sleepovers and fun outings in their youth; proudly watching them grow up and sharing in their accomplishments including high school and college graduations, entrances into the workforce and engagements/getting to know their significant others.
She will be deeply missed.
Visitation will be held on Friday July 18, 2025 at 10:00 am, with mass to follow at 11:00 am, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd in Minnetonka, MN 55345, with mass to follow. Private internment at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Farmington, MN.
