Cassandra's obituary
Cassandra A. Weems, affectionately known as "San," was born on July 7, 1962, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was the youngest of five children born to the late Gussie Lee Spence. On Sunday, September 21, 2025, Cassandra peacefully departed this life and entered into eternal rest.
At a young age, Cassandra confessed her love for Jesus Christ and was baptized at 7th Day Pentecostal Church of God in Scottsdale, Georgia. Her faith remained central throughout her life.
She was a proud graduate of Price High School, Class of 1981. She continued her education at Atlanta Area Technical School, where she pursued studies to become a Medical Records Coordinator.
Later, she joined Zion Hill Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, where she remained a faithful member. Cassandra was actively involved in the church choir, mid-day Bible study, and the Salvation Army. She also participated in community outreach through the YMCA.
Cassandra’s life was a testament to her faith, love, and unwavering commitment to service. She remained faithful until the Lord called her home.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory:

Devoted brothers: Charlie Spence and George Hurghley
A host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Cassandra’s spirit, kindness, and unwavering faith will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
