Cassandra "San" Henley gained her angel wings on May 31, 2023 at her home in Long Beach, CA. Cassandra was 83 years old.

Cassandra was born in the country and small town Modoc, SC. She joined Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and stayed active till she found a better opportunity in Long Beach, California. Where she joined Grace Memorial Baptist Church and served until her health declined.

Cassandra's life would seem too short to many, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint She left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here.
Cassandra was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a master of caretaking and went on to become a nurse. When Cassandra wasn't working or taking care of family, she could be found in Church giving back to the community. Not a day went by where Cassandra didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. 

 Cassandra is survived by her loving children, Karen (Richard) Jackson, Katie Henley, Atlanta, Ga. Sandra (Michael) Washington,  Houston, Tx. John (Mary) Henley, Samuel Henley, Augusta, Ga. Mary (George) Jones, Long Beach, Ca. Amanda Henley, Long Beach, Ca. 10 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. A devoted granddaughter Autumn Henley, Augusta, Ga who been attached since she was a baby. Cassandra was preceded in death by her parents John (Sandra) Henley, all of her sibling Margaret Henley, Freddie Henley, James Henley and Robin Simpkins. Funeral service will beheld at Grace Memorial Baptist Church on Monday, June 5, 2023.
