I loved working with Carter in second grade. He is one of the most funny, quirky and independent hinking children I have ever known. He was never afraid to be exactly who he is. Carter and I met once a week but he was often able to pull his school counselor off task. I knew a few Backstreet Boys songs but had not seen the videos. Carter loved to show me the Backstreen Boys music videos on Youtube. Carter knew all the moves and even showed me one or two that I can still do to this day. The imensity of love and loss for this child is beyond. We love you Carter and Harris family!

Carter I loved your mom's stories about how your mind worked. She taught me so much about attunement and what it truly means to give your children a voice. I know you that you are deeply and truly loved and your absence is a wound that will never heal. Much love

Oh Carter, I will always remember you with a twinkle in your eye! From the days at Great Escape when you were so excited to see Quinn through the fence or give her a big hug at pick up, to the times I made you work on your writing. You were always creating and enthusiastic to share what you had learned at school or created at home. You could do anything with a box and some duct tape. Thank you for the song and dance you entertained me with and for always being willing to put your all into everything we did. If I was having a bad day, I knew seeing you and your wonderful family would turn that around. I will miss your creative mind (and hair), fun sense of humor and sensory seeking nature. You were a unique and amazing person and will be remembered and missed forever! Sending love and strength to your Mom, Dad and Quinn, as well as everyone who was lucky enough to know you!

Carter was Benji’s first real best friend. They both entered a new 2nd grade class at Parmalee together and for a while they were completely inseparable. Carter was all Benji could talk about. They fed off each other’s vast imaginations, danced, made movies and laughed like crazy. To say we will miss him doesn’t do justice to how deeply and profoundly we will feel this loss. We send so much love to all who knew this utterly unique and irreplaceable boy, most especially his incredible parents and family.

Carter was one of the first friends that welcomed Victor to Parmalee. It was so special to have Carter over with a few friends for a playdate at our house. It was Victor’s first ever playdate since moving to CO and Carter made it so special. He lit up the whole house with his smile and laughter. It was a cold day and they spent it running around the house, playing with nerf guns and just when we thought kids were tired out, Carter suggested having a dance party and they did! They were dancing around, having so much fun and sharing laughter. We will never forget this moment, and will never forget this wonderful, kind and generous kid who lit up any room and made everyone’s day! 💙💙💙💙 - The Paoli family and Victor, you are missed!!!
