Carrie's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carrie Trammell, a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Carrie was born on May 19th, 1943, and left this world on April 21st, 2023.

Carrie is survived by her loving daughters, Katherine McCarthy and their spouses; her sons, Norman, Darrin, and Mark McCarthy and their spouses; her brothers, Hollie, Willie, and Thomas Walters; her sister, Maria Walters; her daughter-in-law, Affadella McCarthy; and her daughter-in-law, Annabelle Malone-McCarthy. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth McCarthy; her husband, Theotus Trammell; and her sisters Brenda and Babette Walters.

Carrie enjoyed a fulfilling career at Bayside Nursing Home and retired in 1990. Her favorite foods included pizza and Chinese food, and she was particularly fond of Sprite. She was an avid reader, with a special appreciation for the works of John Grisham. Carrie's love for music shone through her admiration for The Temptations and Marvin Gaye.

Carrie's favorite TV shows were NCIS and Law and Order, and she relished any murder mystery movie. A true Patriots fan, she also enjoyed playing card games and staying active through walking. Her favorite vacation spot was Las Vegas, and she passionately supported the Cancer Society. Blue was her favorite color, representing the depth of her loving, warm, and friendly personality.

Carrie's best lessons to share were to love life and the people who cross your path. Her legacy of love, generosity, and kindness will be cherished by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and those who had the fortune to cross paths with her.
