Carrie's obituary
We regretfully announce the passing of Carrie Ann Smith, 62, of Las Vegas, NV on August 27, 2022.
Carrie, loving and dedicated mother of Amy and Ryan, was brought into this world on September 06, 1959, to Betty and Richard Reed. After graduating from Willoughby South High School in 1977, Carrie dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge in the field of banking. She ended her near 40 year career in 2016. After retiring, Carrie spent time with her friends and family and loved to travel. Carrie lived in Northeast Ohio for the majority of her life. She lived in Eastlake, Willoughby Hills and Mentor before moving to Las Vegas in 2020 to live closer to her children. She was a huge Cleveland Sports fan and would always yell at the TV when the Browns were on. She was a devout Christian and enjoyed going to Central Christian Church in Las Vegas. She was always laughing, especially at herself. She would talk to anyone and everyone she came in contact with. She just loved talking to people. She loved cooking and cleaning, especially the kitchen floor. She loved playing with all of her grandpuppies and sneaking them treats behind their parents backs. We will all miss her greatly.
Carrie was predeceased by Betty Kolpin Reed (Mother), Richard Reed (Father), Grace and Kenneth Reed (Grandparents), Margaret and Herbert Kolpin (Grandparents).
She is survived by Amy Poremba (Daughter), Ryan Smith (Son), Donna Moretti (Daughter-in-law), Michelle Mastrangelo (Sister), Kenneth Reed ( Brother), Loretta Reed (Sister-in-law) and many nieces and nephews.
Carrie requested no formal services be held that her children turn her ashes into a tree and spread them when they travel.
