Carrie's obituary
Carrie Lee Powell of Kellyville, Oklahoma at the age of 45 on Friday, April 16th, 2021. Carrie was surrounded by her family and extended family for weeks before passing as they all pour their love and strength into her to ease the pain and suffering.
Carrie, a loving, caring, genuine, bighearted dedicated mother of three, was brought into this world on May 5th, 1975 in Pensacola Florida, to Johnny Ward, and Deana Charles, born Deana Lee Owens. Carrie dedicated her life to providing a great life for her three children. She was silly, unique, stubborn at times, a huge joker, intelligent, strong, big-hearted woman, and a dedicated wife of 31 years, best friend of over 40 years, aunt to many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews, sister, granddaughter, niece, and ultimately and importantly a dedicated mother who strived to give her children a life better than her own, and accomplished such as all three of her children graduated high school, and have some college under their belt as well. In this life, Carrie was most proud of her children.
Carrie Lee touched many hearts, with her kindness and spread nothing but happiness and love to everyone she encountered.
Carrie knew no stranger in this life she only knew how to make you feel loved and welcome as if you were her blood family. While going through tough times, Carrie found a way to help if you need help no matter her situation. May she rest peacefully knowing she is loved, cared for, and remembered by everyone she encountered, and portrait through her children, family, and friends memories of her. Carrie is survived by her husband rick Powell of Kellyville Oklahoma, her oldest son Ricky Powell of Terlton Oklahoma, her middle child Tiffany lee Powell of Centerton Arkansas, and her youngest Shaun Powell of Kellyville Oklahoma her brother Paul Ward of Lincolnton, North Carolina, his children Victoria Foltz and her children of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Amanda Graham and her children of Norfolk Virginia and Nicholas Ward of Lincolnton, North Carolina, and many more. Carrie was preceded in death by her sister, her mother, and father, her grandmother, and some others.
Carrie will be missed dearly, but we all must remember the good times and know she is no longer in any pain or suffering.
