Carrie's obituary

Carrie Mae. Harris, age 77, of Alpharetta, GA, passed to eternity on August 23, 2025.

Ms. Harris was born on December 30th, 1947, in Gantt, AL, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Essie Arnill May Carter. She moved to Niagara Falls, NY, in 1963. She studied at Niagara County Community College and Buffalo State College. She worked at the Como Restaurant, the Bellevue Dress Shop in Niagara Falls, NY, and Harrison Radiator in Lockport, NY.

Surviving are daughters, Jacqueline D. Jones and Erika A. Harris; two brothers, Mr. Raybon Carter and Rev. Samuel Carter; and one sister, Mrs. Edna Jean Gamble, and sister-in-law, Mrs. Monica Carter, and two grandsons, Brian Jones and Brandon Jones, several great-grandchildren, family, and friends.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Rosemary Carter, a niece Shalise Jones (Carter), three brothers: A.C. Carter, Eugene Carter, and Houston Carter, seven sisters: Jessie Bell Carter, Catherine Carter Finklea, Elouise Carter, Aubrey Lee Finklea, Operee Jones, Dixie Lee Davis, Mammie Paul Coleman, and Margaret Carter.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for September 20th, Noon – 1 PM at 1329 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14305
