Carolyn's obituary

Carolyn is the daughter of John J. Siewert and Carrie (Molitor), and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of the original airline hostesses, for Capitol Airlines. She started her career with that airline in 1945, and continued until 1952. She was married for 42 years to Frank J. Zupan, and raised three children.

Carolyn was a kind, selfless person who often put the welfare of others before her own. After her husband passed way, she devoted much of her time to doing volunteer work at a local hospital, senior center, and church.

She also served seven years as the President of the Board of Managers of her condominium association. She was also an avid Cleveland Indians fan, and an excellent Bridge player. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity, kindness, empathy, zest
for life, optimism, and sense of humor, and for being a wonderful friend, wife and Mother.

Carolyn is survived by a son, John J. Zupan, and daughter Mary Oliphant (Zupan), grandson Chas Oliphant, great- grandchildren Charles, Naomi and Jocelyn. Grandson Michael Oliphant, great-grandchildren Rylee Gaskell, Addison Gaskell, Aiden Gaskell, and Liam Oliphant. And grandchildren Jason Zupan and Cassie Zupan (Father, Frank J. Zupan, Jr.;deceased). And many cousins.
