Carolyn's obituary
Carolyn Rose Wheeler, born on September 9, 1934, in Los Angeles, California, was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. After a long life and a short battle with illness passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. She most recently resided in Divide, Colorado with her husband Robert Wheeler.
She was married to Robert Wheeler, with whom she shared a deep bond throughout their life together. Carolyn was the mother of four children: Victoria Conine (husband Richard Conine), Julia Manley (husband Robert Manley), Matthew Grant, and Kristina Cazier (husband Tim Cazier); and stepmother of two: Kevin Wheeler and Jenny Valles. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren and their partners and families—Bryan and Jacquelyn Manley, Grant and Robin Conine, Sarah and Chris Lumb, Kyle Cazier, Eric and Meghan Manley, Alex and Lily Conine, Justin and Aliea Manley, Adam Manley and Jenna Anundson, Bryce Valles, Leah Valles, and Dylan Valles. Carolyn also cherished her great-grandchildren: Nathaniel Cazier, Lincoln Cazier, Emmett Manley, Allison Lumb, Edith Manley, Jaxson Lumb, Theo Manley, Caleb Manley, and Ezra Manley.
Carolyn loved her family and loved watching the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren unfold by attending or watching recordings of weddings, graduations, dance recitals, jiu jitsu belt ceremonies, baseball games, soccer games, grandparent’s days at school, and of course holidays and birthdays. She always met her great-grandchildren with a smile, a hug, and some kind of sweet treat. Throughout her life, Carolyn was a source of love and support to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
