Carolyn, born on July 20, 1947, departed from this world on September 20, 2023. Carolyn was the heart and soul of a beautiful family. Her love knew no bounds, especially for her six children: Tanya (Skip) Cisneros, Sanya (Craig) Ousley, Shana (Aaron) Emmert, Jana (Robin) Asplund, Chanta (Michael) Rosenstock, and Kianta (Yvonne) Asplund.
She delighted in the laughter and love of her grandchildren: Angel (Andrew) Bates, Courtney (Kory) Rasmussen, Mike Ash, Aaron Emmert, Paul Emmert, Ryan Emmert, Ashleigh (Timothy) Ainsworth, Amber Asplund, Jacob Rosenstock, Michael Rosenstock, Nicholas Rosenstock, Mia Asplund, and Jayden Asplund.
Carolyn's legacy extended to her great-grandbabies: Andrew Bates II, Raelynn Ainsworth, Keira Rasmussen, Klaire Rasmussen along with a baby granddaughter on the way!
Carolyn's passion for life was evident in her commitment to her family. She was a pillar of strength to her family in spite of her multiple health issues. As a florist by trade, she loved flowers especially lavender roses. She was a beacon of creativity, crafting handmade birthday cards that reflected her children's current interests, embodying her attentive and caring nature.
Her enthusiasm for holidays, especially Christmas, brought joy to all as she baked treats, beautifully wrapped gifts, and infused creativity into every celebration. Carolyn loved to dress up for every occasion including beautiful dresses, hair fascinators and hosting tea parties. A compassionate listener, Carolyn provided comfort and wisdom, always finding solutions to challenges. Even during her own trials, she wore a brave smile and radiated kindness, leaving an indelible mark on those around her. She took immense pride in her children's achievements and cherished the growing generations, referring to her great-grandbabies as GG babies.
Simple joys brought Carolyn immense happiness-a phone call, a hug, or a handmade gift. She was an artist in every aspect, She poured her love into decorated cakes as she made every birthday a special day, her crocheted blankets, symbolizing the warmth and care she bestowed. She painted beautiful pictures of places she had visited or anything she had a vision for. She created costumes for school plays and Halloween. These are all examples of how she shared her love with others. Carolyn's life of love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
